ART ALIVE GALLERY

Today the whole school went to all the classrooms to expereince the art of other people for the theme of the term art alive . The first classroom was `room 21,room 22 , and room 23. They had good art witch included Andy Warhol faces in colloums and rows to match Marilyin Monroe And the Campbells soup cans. Next we went all the way to the year two's space. They had all kinds of art, Samoan art, Indian art and so much more. In room 27 here was a window covered in paint. After that we went to the Room 7 and 8 class rooms to seee therre art. It was nice and there is music playing to calm us down and let the paintings hype us up. Therey had a human sculpture mad out of tissue or tree paper And the little sighn's were holding protest sighns to keep the earth safe. Then we went more far down the hall too seethe big circles on the cellings with some tongan art. They also had some Andy Warhol faces like the year two's. Thanks for reading.

Colour Dictastion

 Colours can make us feel happy or sad and they can make us feel hungry or relaxed. Red, orange and yellow are all warm colours. Warm colours make us feel happy, however yellow, red and orange can aso mean danger. Red can also make us feel happy hungry . Cool co,ours include green, blue and purple. Cool colours are usually calming. But it can also mean sadness. Purple can mean creativitie as it's a mix of blue and red.

Mondrian dictastion

 When Mondrian made his paintings, he would always mix his own colours and never use paint directly out of a tube. He often used primary colours, red, yellow and blue to keep his paintings pure and simple.

 In 1961 Andy Warhol came up with the idea of using popular items in his art. He called it pop art. He would use pictures of these common items and change there colours. Andy used bright contrasting colours in his art.

Kandinsky

 Kandinsky thought shapes and colurs by themselves were art. He felt that he could express feelings and music through colurs and shapes in his paintings. He thought the yellow sounded like a trumpet. and that some colurs together sounded like a piano.

Atheletics day recount

 On a sunny Friday morning the whole school did Athletics day. Athletics day is a day where you do fun activities the whole day with no learning. It's the best day at school except the last day of school or Carnival day or Film festival. The most fun game for me was the High Jump. It is really exciting and it was the first game we did at the start of athletics day. My first attempt was not good. It was kind of like a flop because I slipped and hit my back on the pole. It hurt really bad. The next try was good because I made the high jump. But it was hard because it was different to the other high jumps I did. It was way higher because it was the senior high jump. The overall champion in high jump in our class is Samuel he could jump over when the pole was 120cm high now thats impressive for a yr 4. It was really fun last friday and the most tiring day.

Boxing Recount

 Every Tuesday morning we go to kiwisport to do the activity of boxing. Boxing is the most best sport for me because it helps keep fit, also it helps you go through a tiklish feeling when you run with the boxing gloves.. My parthner was Odyn I was teaching him Jabs with croses. When it was hal;fway Odyn got the hang of doing jabs and crosses so he got pretty good at the punches so I told him to do 50% or over but under 80% . Then our coach Pax told the boxers to run down the line to expereince new coaches then when pax said switch the boxer became the coach then the coach became the boxer. So thats it for my recount.

"I got a letter from my brother.". Jon exclaims. "it's in secret code just like when we were kids". Jon explains to Garfield "Whats it say". Suggests Garfield. "whoever is reading this is a poo poo head.". replies Jon sadly. "They've come so far". enquires Garfield wearliy.

Jon pours all the salt all over the table. "Okay who loosened the top of my salt shaker". Says Jon angrily. "Garfield that wasn't very nice". Jon asks as Garfield giggles to himself. " Your right That wasn't really nice". replies Garfield. "but it was extremely funny"

A Game outside

 On a sunny morning room 19 and 20 went to the back feild and played a game. The game we played was all about skipping. We had to run and skip at the same time, it's very challenging but I got there in the very end so I was all good. The first thing we did was to line up and walk to the back field. It didn't go really well because some other people in my team were getting in and out of the line. The first thing we did were relays to run and skip. Then the people who were bad at it had to practise skipping. Then when the relays were over we had to watch one of each best people do challenges and thats it.

Line Tag Recount

 this morning room 19/ 20 went to the net ball court the play line tag but first we had to line up. Lining up was the most  fustrating thing ever because the other people well some of the people in the other teams were talking including some of the people in my team. when the teams were queit Miss ;King told us the intrucstions of this game. so the first teams approaching were my team Hikianalia and te aurere. Gotta say I did pretty good the first round cause I came 3rd. But not so lucky the second/ third rounds well I didn't compete in the 3rd round cuase it was only for the winning teams. But the winning team was hine moana.

 Garfeild and Jon excitedly dashed for the delicous hot dog. "ha beat you to it". Exclaims Jon as their hands reach for the hot dog at the same time. "uh Garfeild would you mind taking your claws out of my hand". Asked Jon clearly in pain. "Give me a good reason". replies Garfeild hoping to win the yummy treat.

Jon ad Garfeild are standing togther outside a mouse hole. "You are a cat"! Jon shouts at garfeild angrily. "That is a mouse". insists Jon pointing to a small mouse sticking his head out. "Pleased to meet you." Says Garfeild shaking the mouses hand while poor Jon smacks his head in despair.

Recount story for the ultimate game HEADS OR TAILS (without an and)

Our teacher Miss King told us to line up outside to play a game but then it kinda started raining. So we went back inside. The reason why she wanted us to play a game was so we can write a recount to practise for the Writing test in Term 4. Then she had a really good backup plan to play Heads or Tails. So we played the game. Then she said to pick either choices heads or tails. Also we had a 5 seconds limit to choose so it wouldn't take so long. I decided to be a little sneaky because after the 5 seconds timer was up I switched. So I got out. I won't talk about that because it will take forever. The second round was not good at all becouse I was the first one to get out. So were the other rounds. I felt angry but happy at the same time so that's my recount.

 Calvin and Hobbes were lying in bed when Calvin suddenly sits up. "Any monsters under my bed". H e screams. "Nope uh uh." come the ghosty whispers from under the bed. "well there better not be.  last Friday on a cloudy afternoon room 19, room 20 went on the field to get ready for cross country. When we sat down multiple people came to the field then sat down. There  was loud music coming out of the speaker. When all of pt england was here Mr burt called out the year 4 boysfirst so we stood up then went behind the line then Mr burt clapped. Thenwe took of. we were outside the nschool  followed the track then we saw our first red flag so we ran around it then went on tofollow the track. When I finished the track. This weird thing always happen when i run out of breath. but anyways I finished so thats all.

On a cloudy morning our ream witch was Team 3 went for a walk around tour cross country course. We started beside the park because that's where we'll meet up. So we walked to the gate, unlocked it then we started our journey that took so long. We walked through the cold wet grass to reach each red flag to go around them. The course was super long but it only took 12 min to walk 1.07 km. At home I walk 6.7 km so i walk a lot. Oh man!, that walk was the longest when I was there i thought I stepped on poo but it was mud. When we went back my legs were hurting badly. That was cross country recount for ya.:D

The great Pyramids Giza writing.

The great Pyrimads of Giza are fascastnating structers. It's over fourty five hundred years old and is as tall as 150 meters tall. Back then the eygeptshines invented maths and also used phisacal force to move the bricks 800 kilometers. The pyramids were used for the tombs of the phararohs and their treausure. One big brick weighd 2.3 metric tonnes and it's 150 meters high and is the biggest handmade strcture ever built. the workers who helped build it were paid by beer and food. All that took 20 years. And now it's used for people to enjoy the veiw.

the great wall of china

The great wall of china is one of the most recognisable places in china and the world. It's over 2,000 years old and it's as long as 22,000 kilometers  or 13,000 miles and was built to protect them from the Mongles. its made up of rock dirt, and it protects a part of Hong Kong and the nothern boarder. Most of it has been wercked by time that went by. Today it's one of the most famous monuments. And it's used for people to walk through and enjoy.

Sydney Opera House. Australian fax

The Sydney Opera House is one of the most iconic buildings in the world. Two out there people know about this place. It's known to have a movie theatre, a drama theatre  and also music and opera. The roof is shaped like sails and the roof is made up of 1.6 mil ceramic tiles. I estimate it to be 600ft  long and weight to be 161,000 tonnes.  Its quite an iconic place and also a famous land mark. Its over 40 years old and I think its 65 meters tall. As you know the Sydney Opera House is located in Sydney Australia and one of the most iconic buildings.

Today I went skateboarding. Its was alot of fun and it also hurt as well. First we had to put one foot on the skateboard and push. then we had to put our other foot on the back of the skateboard. I didn't do it on the first try. Well I first needed to get used to one foot and then two feet. I saw my friend fall down and I kinda laughed since he did the splits. Then I realised that he was crying so I felt sad for him. The coach was really good he showed us a few tricks before we did laps. I like skateboarding. its really fun and scary at the same time. Most kids think its easy to just skate around and do tricks but they have to think twice. Just a little bit of practise and you will get there.

Level 2 at school

 This year was a lot  different. The virus outbreak was here. But after that it calmed down when it was level 2 and the students had to go to school again. School was different we had our own table and we had to learn sitting on our chair for five hours. But the most fun about it was that we got to eat at our tables. But the worst thing was sitting on our chair for eternity. we had our max distance and the closest we could get were 60 centimetres. We had fun activities and the school was doing a great job at level 2 and we had our max people on the playground 20 a time. and at lunch there was also soccer for the year 3 and 4. And there was also scooters for the year 1 and 2 at lunch time. Whats most different about school are the rules no toys out and sanitise when you come in and out and also the teachers had to work extra hard since we have to put our hands up for help so its a lot of pressure on them. But we had to take our chrome book home to do some more learning. it felt like lock down again boring and dumb . They moved the furniture around and also the iMacs. And the most I hate about this is sitting on our chairs for a long time its because its making me lazy just sitting and doing your work and the most thing I like about this is there are more activities and its more fun.

In the world  there has been a lot of trouble lately. the virus has been killing people and making people sick and people had to go on quarantine. It was in the year 2020 this happened it was terrible! But the one and only superhero came, Black Panther he has a special power that can stop the virus. He can run as fast as a panther so he goes to the pharmacy and gives free medicine to those in need. before he could give the medicine he sensed something ominous. It was the virus! So he fought Covid boss and his army. They threw punches at each other and Black Panther was down. So the superhero called in back up. The god of thunder they fought together but before Thor even came he made him sick so black panther was alone. Black Panther used his special power to blow the boss away and his little army by using his suits mega shield the blows everything up and pushes the Covid boss and his little army into space. After life was good  everything went back to normal but I fear that Covid 19 will return.

A Sad Week

It has been a fun week but also a bit boring. I have not seen my teacher in a week. But what makes it really sad is that I will be staying home for three more weeks thats almost the end of April! Any way I think Ill get use to it. Yesterday my brother hit the ball over to the neighbours house and they did not give it back so there mean. So see you soon teachers
